Kill pain to drink this!Want to guess the surprising beverage that scientist say may be as effective at relieving pain as aspirin? It just happens to be one of my favorite things to sip!
Mint tea! Well, to clarify, Brazilian mint tea.The BBC reports that the plant Hyptis crenata has been used in teas in Brazil for thousands of years to treat ailments that range from headaches to stomach aches. And now a new study seems to confirm the tea's pain-relieving properties. I know, where the heck are we supposed to get Brazilian mint tea to cure a 3 p.m. mean-boss-induced headache? While I wish I could offer you a cup (and drink one myself!), I think we'll have to enjoy regular mint tea until this stuff becomes more widely available. But, it's interesting that something as simple as tea can have health-promoting properties, huh? I have always felt that tea is medicinal in it's own way (if anything, it perks up my mood!). P.S. If you're looking for a new tea, I just tried an amazing antioxidant-rich line of teas that are so good (I think I'm sort of becoming addicted, in fact) from Dilmah Tea. They're gourmet teas that come bagged for wimps like me who are lazy. I really liked their green tea, which was not too sharp, not too mild--just right.

Sips Cocktail
Cocktail gets its fame for the great taste and beautiful color. When we suffer the Chardonnay fatigue, The cocktail that an especial concoctions can get you out of the white wine rut. If you have a strong opinions, and want your own way. These cocktails speak to that: You can put your personal stamp on the ingredients so your drink refects a lot of personal choices. 1) Something on the side. This updated classic sidecar, it's perfect for a friendly card game by the fire.
2) Hot Flash Sparkler. This is a healthy, heart-smart cocktail because of the pomegranate and ginger. It's like sangria, and just as potent, but perfect for brunch.
3) Flying Fearlessly. Serve this fresh-tasting sparkler at brunch or at an afternoon open house. It's not that strong, and you can make most of it ahead of time, adding the bubbles at the last minute. The fizz will last for about 20 minutes. Cranberry cocktails are lovely when garnished with white or red cranberry swizzles.
4) Grapeade for Grown-ups. This kind of grape flavored martini is very popular with women. And the garnish of frozen grape is fun. For the swizzles, thread green grapes on a short bamboo skewer or long wooden pick; freeze until ready to use.
5) The Keeper Husband. This pumpkin spice cocktail is a favorite with man, probably because it's not sweet. You often find rum in summer poolside drinks like mojitos and mai tais, but this one is good for cooler weather. Vanilla gives it added body. And thanks to the cream, the drink is not that heady.
6) Peppermint Patty Ages Up. This drink looks festive when garnished with a chocolate mint or candy cane. Set out six of these on a silver tray to welcome guests as they arrive. They'll love it, except for those who just don't like pepermint liqueur.
7) 40-Year-Old Virgin ( Wenham Tea House Punch) Old-fashioned nonalcoholic punches seem to be making a comeback, but unlike some of the traditional recipes, this one isn't too sweet and has just enough complexity so guests can savor it slowly. 8) Empty Nest Blues.
9) Over-40 Babe.
10) Apples Behaving Badly.
11) Post-Divorce Fling.
12) Fahrenheit 104.
